Congratulations to Les Hall and Neville Layhe on another successful Crewe Chess Congress, with 110 players taking part.
NSDCA players were very successful, with Stuart Clarke and Jonathan Blackburn (both Holmes Chapel) coming joint 1st in the Open Section with 4/5. Martyn Harris was joint 2nd in the Major Section, with 4/5. Chris Rhodes and Lukasz Holcman (both Crewe) were joint winners of the Intermediate Section, with 4/5. Sam Parry of Cheddleton won the Grading Prize in the Intermediate Section and Nigel Gardner of Crewe won the Grading Prize in the Minor Section.
