South Potteries Rapidplay Championship.

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here but, as last year's event was such a success, I thought I should give as much notice as possible. The 2nd South Potteries Rapidplay Championship will take place on Sunday 26th June at Fenton Chess Club.

The maximum number of entries will be restricted to 24 on a 'first come first served' basis. Entry fee is £5 and includes a buffet. Bronze level membership or higher of the ECF is a requirement of entry. Entries to steve.emmerton@btinternet.com or use the Contact Form on the left hand side of the page. Rate of play > all moves in 30 minutes with no additional time added. In the event of a tie then a countback system will be used - there will be no play-off this year. The tournament will be controlled by ECF Arbiter Matthew Carr. The Winner will receive a trophy, to be held for one year, with their name engraved on it, plus a small plaque or shield to keep.
