Bill Armstrong Retains British Visually Impaired Championship

Many congratulations to Bill Armstrong on successfully retaining his British Visually Impaired title. This tournament is held every two years. I'm about a month late in reporting this but I've only just found out about it so apologies all round.
Bill first won the championship in 1983 and had to wait a further 30 years before repeating his feat in 2013.
Having waited so long, two victories have now come along in quick succession, latterly in the 2015 tournament at Morecambe with a score of six out of seven.
Bill dropped only a half point in the first six rounds, so the final round was a formality, because he led by a clear point and was certain to win any tie-break. He secured the title with a draw in that last round.
