Last night's Newcastle Rapidplay Jamboree was an outstanding success. Congratulations to Martyn Harris, ably assisted by Matthew Carr, for the excellent organisation and a very enjoyable evening.
7 teams entered the Open event and it was a very close run thing with Cheddleton and Newcastle running out as joint winners with 6 1/2 points, just 1/2 point clear of 3rd placed Stafford.
8 teams entered the U130 event but this was far from being a close fight with Fenton 'A' scoring 7 1/2 points, 3 points clear of joint 2nd placed Newcastle and Cheddleton.
