Fenton progressed to the semi-final of the U150 Major Cup last night following a hard fought match against Holmes Chapel. The middle 3 boards were all drawn but a win on top board for Fenton, followed by a win on bottom board for Holmes Chapel, left the match drawn at 2 1/2 each and Fenton winners on board count.
