This weekend's Crewe Rapidplay Congress was a resounding success, with 80 entrants in 4 sections. Matthew Carr did his usual outstanding job in controlling the tournament and the organisation by Neville Layhe and his Crewe colleagues made it a memorable day. NSDCA successes came fom Karl Lockett, who was joint first in the Intermediate Section on 5/6, Simon Layhe who was joint first in the Minor Section on 5/6, Lawrence Cooper who was 2nd in the Open Section on 5/6 and Jonathan Blackburn who was 3rd in the Open Section on 4/6.
